With a clue like that, it ought to have a name like Bellbird Wood or Lyrebird Forest. And yet, I have a niggling feeling that it might be near Beauchamp Falls.

You're definitely on the right track re the clue ribuck. It's not anywhere near Beauchamp Falls. Same general region but less altitude.

Curious - the main fall is the Dandongadale Falls - highest sheer drop in Vic.
This is a smaller stream next to it - but I saw it dry.

I don't recognise this one but the size, shape and locality remind me a little of the Botherum Plain hut.
