The place where I took this picture has quite an attraction for me.

I'll try and unearth another non-NSW one next time. But this is still NSW:

Thank you ribuck. Not on the Horseshoe Falls loop though, this is in another gorge quite a long way from Govetts.

I'm just thinking aloud here. "Nicks Pass". The only "Nicks Pass" I know of is the one that leads to Thousand Man Cave, which is in a much drier area where there are no stone steps.

Your photo has a strong Blue Mountains feel, with all that water dripping. And if you told me those steps were built by the same team that built Furber Steps, I could believe it.

There's a set of unprotected steps at the bottom of the Old Point Pilcher Track, with lots of water around, but it's a while since I've been there and I can't remember what the bottom of it looks like. Anyway, Grand Canyon is hardly "quite a long way from Govetts".

Maybe we're on the other side of the highway. Perhaps it's one of the old unmaintained tracks south of Leura: Lindeman Pass, Gladstone Pass, etc.

Abandoned steps in a wet place with a big cliff to their left ... I'm struggling here.

I descended that Old Point Pilcher track about 18 months ago, a little hairy at one point.
Anyway, it does look somewhat like those old tracks but I'm not in the Blue Mountains.

A more formal Nick will lead you to these falls. This time of year It could be Saint Nick, given the name of a creek gully a few kms NNE.

Honestly guys - you should not feel guilty about using NSW photos. Granted, photos of a stream or a funny rock outcrop can sit and stew for awhile, but it is just a game. I think given the interest it moves fast enough. Even I will put some NSW shots in.

But for a restart lets go with one from Vic which has been the subject of recent discussion
