Thanks... when i clicked on the image I saw Jagungal poking over the ridge and recognised the section of track up from Bogong Creek. From memory I think I had difficulty locating the start of FR trail past the clearing... but I have difficulty with a lot of things. Still in NSW...

I haven't made a contribution for a while - mainly becauseI have run out of appropriate digital pictures (yes, yes I have plenty of inappropriate pictures and no, no I am not referring to pictures of fingers) - so here is a copy of a print showing a much younger GregG way back in 1980 at where in NSW?

Those were the days, I wish I was there right now! In the intervening forty years I have walked quite a lot in KNP but have somehow never made it back to Blue Lake, a point which makes me realise it is a BIG park :). Over to you John.

Don't we all Greg. At least those of us in NSW and VIC who are absolutely over f'ing lockdowns.
Blue lake is still lovely. I've only been visiting KNP for about 20 years but have walked to it, past it, above it, many times.

Nah Greg,

More information required FatBoy...this place has a specific name.

Cryptic clue: The Adventurous Barry may claim ownership.

Well although Graham was quick to the clue his guess was slightly askew. It’s actually McKenzie lookout situated on, as FatBoy had stated, the Yalwal plateau. This chain of hills and saddles lead to the junction of the Ettrema/Yalwal water courses.

Over to you FB.

Looking SE from a well known mountain towards a popular river. The mountains on the horizon are well guarded.
