That hillside looks like the one on the 15 Mile, above Happy Jacks Dam and the Tumut River.

You are pretty close NNW. One of the places you mentioned above applies to this location.

Probably the Tumut River further upstream, but it's been too long since I was there. Doesn't look like the area around the Round Mtn/Farm Ridge crossing to my memory, but that's not the most reliable thing in existence.

Are you looking down on the creek/river that joins the Tumut near the dam, maybe from somewhere up towards Wuthering Heights?

You are getting very close. It is near Wuthering Heights and has a name.

The only name I know near that is Far Bald, and I''m pretty sure there's no view of Mulligans or Happy Jacks creeks from there. And I can't find my Cabramurra map to check further north. I resign the conclusion to whoever can put all this together.

Well you said it. It’s close to Wuthering heights and Mulligans feeds in to it. It’s a major waterway on the maps.

A little confusing - Mulligans feeds Happy Jacks creek - but NNW has already mentioned that one?

PS - looks like a view from about 1400m mark above Happy Jacks looking towards Boltons Hill?

Now I'm confused. Mulligans Ck feeds into Happy Jacks Ck which feeds into the Tumut. Is Happy Jacks Creek the name you're after or are we looking for something else?

Yes, it’s Happy Jack Creek with Bolton’s hill in the background.

How is it confusing? No one specifically said Happy Jacks Creek.

So you're being ultra-pedantic over this one? Fair enough. I may return the favour one of these days.

Ultra pedantic is a bit much. I gave you plenty clues to work it out.

Are you on the ABC Range, he asked knowingly ?

I wish SA had a Listmap. That pic has a lot of interesting stuff.

Yes - its a large target. ABC range runs a long way - this spot height is 554m.
And in view is Mt Sinnett on the right, Mt Abrupt at centre with the Sawtooth wall of Wilpena Pound on the left - all part of the Heysen Range.
You may notice a small cairn on the peak immediately below me - that is where I went for sunrise last time I was up here - my current avatar

Indeed it is Tyreless - sunset over the Gulf St Vincent, the Obelisk being the give away. A lot of the locals using a visit to escape restrictions below. Your go.

I've been to SA quite a few times but mainly for family visits, so I don't have any photos I could put into the game from there. So it's back to NSW...

Thanks Tyreless, I need more exposure to the Colo region.

The sandy river bed makes me think of the Macdonald, somewhere in Yengo NP. But I certainly can't pick the exact spot.

I was thinking perhaps further downstream on the Colo from my previous photo - maybe near the end of the T3 trail?
