Nah, that's Ormiston Creek. You can see the lookout on the Ghost Gum track at the back.

Over to NNW.
Ormiston it is.
I should put Emily Gap up on another turn. It is significantly smaller than Ormiston.

Thanks. Yeah, Emily is a baby in comparison.

Moving down to SA. Name the lump.

Didn't take long for me to break the game again . . . Abel Tasman would be pretty cheesed off with you all.

Summit circuit and a bit extra off-track stuff to where the old track went up to that northern point. It's a neat little walk, especially when the wedgies come out to play in the evening.

NNW is referring to the Dutchmans Stern near Quorn.
The Heysen Trail sweeps past its northern slopes before heading down through the creek systems to the western alluvial fans.

Next one is still in SA.

View north from Devils Peak next to Pichi Richi Pass - Quorn, Dutchman's Stern & Mt Arden in view with the Elder Range and Wilpena very distant.

If you click in you can see a town in this shot.
And some interesting ranges in the far distance.

Not to mention the road and railway on the left. And they are making me wonder if this is on the lump I meant to ask you about how to get permission to access, given it's on private land - Devils Peak near Pichi Richi?

No permissions needed - but you don't go from the Pichi Richi Pass.
There is a dirt road down from Quorn on the eastern side to a car park and walking track.
It goes up the steep side through the cliff line. To get to the top you head up a steep rock slope but it provides good grip.

Thanks, although that rather takes the fun out of it. Looks every bit as good on top as I thought it would be.
Also grateful for the Walking SA link. That's going too be a useful source if/when I get back.

OK, still in SA - the marker is telling me where to go, but what is that looming up through the fog?

Either no-one knows or no-one cares. Maybe I should have shoved a sock down my own throat before posting this one.

Excuse me! I care. But I don't know the answer. Nevertheless, I'll have a vaguely informed guess, and say somewhere on the Heysen Trail [sic], in the vicinity of Burra.

So take that sock out of your throat, please. And I hope you washed it first.

Well, of course it's the Heysen Trail. Not that close to Burra. The sock thing was a clue. You can see this lump in eggs' previous shot.

I care too! Going by the clue I will guess Mt Ardern.

Yes, I keep calling it Ardern too, although it's actually Arden. ;) The fog makes it a little less confronting to arrive up there, but what a strange place.

Looking for the name of this hill. A big clue in eggs' previous post.
I'm on/near the second highest point in this reserve via the red and blue arrows.
