Well south of the GNW. The ocean is 8 or 9 kms away.

I'll repeat the image as it's dropped off the current page.

NSW, this walk is between two mountains. I started from the towers on the one in view and I'm about to ascend the other.
If you name this one you should easily get the other and the name of the track:

John, I think you are somewhere on the Illawarra escarpment. Whatever, those towers certainly are a blight on the landscape.

Greg, The named mountain I'm climbing up to does form part of the Illawarra escarpment and is mainly within an NPWS reserve.
The mountain we are looking at stands alone on a council reserve. Most people just drive up to the lookout there.
The towers are probably labelled Telstra, Optus and Hutchison Vodafone.

No, but you're in the right locality, less than 15 km away. Head SE.

Hi Peregrinator
Parachilna Gorge and its the creek bed near the campsite... so that's right.
I see all three Peregrines made it off the ledge at Collins St, so happy about that.

Yes, the three sisters did well. At the other nesting site with a camera, in Orange NSW, just one got to fledge—and only after a serious mishap.

As for Parachilna, I've driven along there enough times now to identify the lie of the land. Also walked across a strip like that to get to a walk up Oratunga Creek.

This Victorian beach should be easy to identify.

I went via the map on a voyage of discovery to find it. The Otways are on my bucket list if we ever get past covid.

I should have chosen a harder one but wasn't sure if anyone would pick this easily with Rams Head North out of frame.
Yes, I was heading across to RHN during a general wander through the Rams Heads. Over to you Stef.

It looks like either the Grand Canyon before the track upgrade, or the track to Walls Cave.
I'm leaning towards Grand Canyon.
Edit: Make that Grand Canyon after the track upgrade. The old route wasn't that formal.
