You're in the general area but I'm on the other side of the highway.

You're very close and heading in the right direction, but I'm not on the Burgess loop.

Got there. Edith Falls it is, albeit in drought. Nice little circuit, as are Burgess and Empire Pass/Dantes Glan.
Given me an idea to do all three in a day at some point when they're in full flow.

We didn't make it all the way around to Byatts Camp but yes it's from the track running down Wilkinson's creek below Abbot ridge.

The foreground features are almost a miniaturised version of what you might see on a much larger scale around here.

I was in KNP recently though and managed to really stuff my previously injured and surgically repaired left knee on a long day walk .

Thanks johnw, I had planned to walk out that way last year but my knee (left like yours) decided to pack it in. Hoping this winter, I'll finally get there.
