Haven't been out to the Ediacara Reserve.
Only photos I could see out that way were fairly flat hills.

Eggs, I too have not been there. Might try to investigate though.

But remember that the photograph is in a Sanctuary, not a Reserve.

Adding a further clue: the peak is c. 900 m ASL.

The internet leads to very few sanctuaries in SA.
Since they are generally privately owned affairs, it might be a few very unknown ones around.
The photo itself suggests Flinders Ranges in the far north, maybe on the western side.
There is a small Aroona Sanctuary - but nothing hints at 900m there.

Warraweena might fit for height - but it is a Private Conservation Park, not a Sanctuary.

There are some remoter ranges out east from the Flinders, but I don't know of any sanctuaries out that way.
900m is quite high as well - strongly suggesting a core Flinders Ranges aspect.
If START was not a reference to some age criteria, then not sure where he wants us to go with it.

I have made an incorrect assumption. My apologies. The peak is not in a Sanctuary. It is in a sanctuary, or as eggs correctly states, a Private Conservation Park. I have seen the same mistake made in items on the interweb. E.g.

https://environment.gov.au/system/files ... ceback.pdf

And in speaking to Stony Steiner (manager at Warraweena), I've several times referred to the property as a sanctuary, and he's never corrected me. Why would he? He's thinking sanctuary, I'm thinking Sanctuary.

So sanc-tu-ery much for putting me right eggs. I'll award this to you, because you did mention Warraweena. And because GregR's comment is on the money.

START was an indirect reference to Stuart, by the way. I was going to add: if U START at the bottom you'll get to the top.

I wondered whether there might be a confusion of naming.

Lets stay in SA - name the peak on the right in this more tourist derived shot.

I will studiously avoid SA for this one. What is the name of this Victorian lake?

Nice try, GregR. The NP is correct, but not the lake.

(There were no hints in what I wrote. I was purposely avoiding any of the cryptic stuff after making a mess of my last contribution.)

Not Pink. Nor is it purple, primrose or puce.

I'd hoped this would be simple one to answer, because a very recent post on the forum had a photograph that is quite similar to mine.

A long way from there Greg. I'm not in the Blue Mountains but possibly could see them in the very far distance.

Closer, but I'm still 50 km-ish from the Nattai (measured from Ahearns Lookout).

Your thinking is good. Not in the Bundanoon area, but not all that far away either.
This is on a named landform/trail, not a peak/mountain (and I'm possibly a little off track).
Ahead to my left and below, is a significant confluence of water.

Yes Greg. This is past the end of one of those trails, which used to be called the Four Views/Lookouts when I did it (we visited all of them).
I noticed that the one I'm on here is no longer shown on SIX Maps but remains starkly visible in the imagery view.
Over to you.

Thanks John, I would not have guessed it without WFBW landing on the Caoura location.
Staying in NSW, this spot is less than 80 kms from the Sydney GPO.
