That's it Zapruda, basically I'm looking over the Spencers Creek and Snowy valleys from next to the trig on Tate, with some zoom.
We were on the return leg of the Tate East Ridge circuit at the time. Admittedly I had to look at SIX Maps myself to orient some of the features.
Pounds and Twynam Creeks gullies also below. Part of Perisher Range/The Paralyser to the left and maybe Mt Guthrie over on the right.
We're heading back to Jindabyne after Xmas for a break with extended family, and I can't wait to revisit the park for the first time in 3 years :D.

3 years! Make sure you get out to Jagungal. I think you will really enjoy it. Like most weekends I’ll be somewhere in the park so feel free to drop me a line if you want someone to walk with.

I’m standing in the ACT in this shot.

I'm guessing Bimberi Peak.

Thanks, I was enjoying the break from NSW. But well anyway. NSW and not too far from Mt Kelly

Thanks for that Stef. Travelling with pre-school age grandkids, so I'm restricted to getting away for some day hikes when not entertaining them. I still have Jagungal on my bucket list as a must, the only major KNP peak I've yet to visit. My son will be separately doing a 2 night trip with friends, I think Twynam, Wilkinsons Valley, Rams Heads route or similar. I might surprise him by wandering into his camp.

I thought at first it looked like the start of the descent from Brinkley Bluff, but that can't be right.

Close. Not the descent from Brinkley. It’s on track and west Brinkley.

Looks a bit like Wilsons Prom, so I'll suggest Mt Bishop and Mt St Leonard from Tidal River.

Mmm, searching revealed nothing. Is it somewhere in the Dandenong Ranges?

Mmm, that is not a bad guess, lacking any further evidence. You could try searching on the other side of the CBD. And a distance only a little further from the CBD than are the Dandy Nongs.

It looks like Australia, but Aus is a fairly large country. Having a state to narrow it down a little would help.
