The smoke blots out the horizon and makes it hard to get a good look at the background features.... have to say I'm not to sure.

If that’s Kangaroo Pt Sylvania? Way too far North.

First few guesses where right amongst it! If it’s not guessed after the Swans game I’ll reveal......

I'll give it to you eggs for your tenacity alone. You are in the right vicinity, its Swan Lake, Cudmirrah (Bit of a cryptic clue in my last post).

Not much to go on in the shot, so I accept.

What Conservation Reserve with these extensive muddy flats are we in in SA?

This one is proving tough eggs. I've been all over various York Peninsula/Walk the Yorke maps and only just found one that lists Cape Elizabeth Conservation Reserve.
Assuming it's correct, as I can't find an image even remotely close.

Yes SA maps are not altogether informative. This is from the north shore of Cape Elizabeth CR. Port Hughes jetty in view

Pallaibo Track is correct Keith, but from the Thredbo River heading up to Sawpit Creek. Over to you.

Well, I've been to both Hilary and Edenderry Falls and it doesn't look like either.
There are no other named falls listed on Govetts Creek, which leaves the unnamed falls below Arethusa?

The creek is named. The pass is named.

This provides some more context.

Getting confused. So the falls are not on Govetts Creek?

Apologies, you're right - the falls are not on Govetts Creek.

Better if I had said -

I don't believe the falls themselves are officially named, but I'll try Fortress Falls on Fortress Creek.

Hmmm, I said Arethusa because I am pretty sure I have a picture of the same waterfall, I recognise the boulder at the top, and it seems I must have mistakenly given it the wrong name. Having said that, my 1982 Katoomba sheet places Arethusa Falls at the junction of Katoomba and Govetts Creeks whereas my later (1998(?) sheet puts them about one K further downstream adjacent to Carne Wall and gives the creek coming in from E the name Arethusa Creek, so there must have been some reshuffling of place names around that time. So anyone else, please feel welcome to put the correct name on it.

Is this limited to the Govett valley - or does it mean the larger Grose valley(s)
