This game is such a time waster. Now I have to look for photo to upload. Back soon.

 I know the feeling. I'm supposed to be doing other stuff. I'd better tear myself away and actually start doing some of it!

OK, here we go again.

State: NSW.

Name the township across the valley and/or the spot the photo was taken from.

Please note I am actually bush walking tomorrow so I will be going to bed early tonight and will be away from the computer for most of tomorrow.

Township is Waterfall. View is over Lake Toolooma taken from Mt Westmacott in Heathcote NP. I believe I'm correct, here's one I took from the same spot:

I'll be out most of Sunday. Have a turn juju if you're around otherwise anyone can post the next one.

Okay this is my first time (by default) and hopefully not my last...
We're in NSW. What mountain are we on and what is the landmark behind coming out of my right ear (I'm the second from left).
I hope it's not too easy...

My first thoughts you are on the Castle looking at the southern tip of of Mt Owen but I decided that I was not right.

Thats gotta be Carnarvon Gorge (?). I don't think that's Shipstern Bluff you're looking at. It might be Boolimba Bluff.

I was only after Carnarvon Gorge - long time ago
Your turn

PS - actually I was wondering where Bushwalker was - saw references to it & a very large satellite image with a track marked - but no details!
Also - that will be Boolimba Bluff - right at the entrance of the gorge.
PPS - cannot find Shipstern Bluff - perhaps you meant Battleship Spur?

The turn off to the Mount bushwalker walk is west off the Pacific Highway south of Sussex Inlet road before Milton. It's an easy walk with spectacular views, the very enticement that took me to the Castle/Monolith valley a year later.

yes eggs - I meant Battleship Spur, not sure where I got that other one from. There's a Shipstern in Lamington NP and I think Shipstern Bluff is the location of big wave surfing down on the Tasman Peninsula. I'm sure there's others as well, but as you found, none of them at Carnarvon.
Anyway, I might pass tonight as I wont be near a computer tomorrow.
