Yep, been doing sections of the Bingie Dreaming track during Xmas holidays with extended family the last few years.
Congo to Mullimburra Point return this time. For some reason google maps only labels Mullimburra Point Beach just below the point.
Next time I'll do the bit from Bingie Bingie Point to the southern end. Maybe I can get someone to drop me off at the start.
Hopefully I can get across the Coila Bar and walk back into town.

It was one of those photos you know you've been there, but can't remember where, so I needed the hint. Bingi Dreaming Track is a good walk for anyone down that way. In fact there are quite a few, here is another (NSW)

Might not be so nice post-commercialisation unfortunately. NSW again, name the visible watercourse....

Johnw and Crollsurf, yes the bingi track is awesome. I just passed through there a few weeks ago doing the great south coast walk. Hoping to complete the last couple of sections from bermagui before the end of the month.

Saving the best for last, although it's all good down the south coast. Can't deny I'm a little bit jealous you doing the Great South Coast Walk. Enjoy

Thanks, I knew the locality and background, it was all about the angle.

A lot closer but still probably 100 km or so away, and not in the Blue Mtns.

I recently watched an online presentation of the results of a 4 year scientific study revealing the reasons behind the mysterious hydrology of this location.

That's Buffalo at the back, isn't it? Which I think puts you on the Razorback, probably towards the Diamantina Hut end.
