Is that the cross cut saw?
Mon 10 Dec, 2018 12:29 pm
It is in there - along with a few other notable peaks....
But I am not on the Crosscut Saw.
Mon 10 Dec, 2018 12:51 pm
The horizon look like the crosscut, Buggery and Mt Spec so maybe from the Razor?
Mon 10 Dec, 2018 2:08 pm
Correct - this was the view when climbing the Razor
Mon 10 Dec, 2018 2:45 pm
Thanks eggs. Staying in Vic. Name the falls.

Sorry I've gone too obscure - More clues required. This waterway is very close but you may need to dig for the answer.

OK - last pic appears to be Moleside Camp on the Glenelg River.
Chasing this around the www reveals the Moleside Falls - on Moleside Creek
Part of the Great South West Walk.
Tue 11 Dec, 2018 2:36 pm
Correct thanks Eggs. Lesson learnt - not too obscure although I thought some of my fellow Vics may have been there.

The second photo suggested the Glenelg River - which got me started.
What is this colourful location in SA?

In/near Parachilna Gorge?
Wed 12 Dec, 2018 3:36 pm
Fair way east from Parachilna.

Wilkawillina Gorge?
Wed 12 Dec, 2018 9:52 pm
Yes. I believe you got it last time as well
This is from a high spot above the gorge in pre sunrise light.

Yes, I got it last time, but was less certain re this shot. That rusty-looking terrain might be on Mars. Eggs, you do have a knack for capturing intriguing colours.
Here's a much drabber landscape in Victoria. Name the river and the park. Extra points for the locality.
- Gellibrand River, with Princetown locality in mid-distance, from GOW walking track in Great Otway NP

Gellibrand River, I think in (or bordering) the Port Campbell NP? From somewhere along the GOW I presume
Thu 13 Dec, 2018 7:47 pm
J M, you've correctly named the river, but not the park. Your presumption about the track is spot on, so the park name should be just a formality.
Thu 13 Dec, 2018 8:43 pm
Oops - Great Otway NP? Didn't realise it stretched that far west!
Thu 13 Dec, 2018 9:26 pm
Yes, that's it. Even though Port Campbell NP is much closer than Cape Otway.
Thu 13 Dec, 2018 11:06 pm
Staying in the same state, whereabouts is this waterfall/cascade?

First Thoughts were Steavenson Falls, but I suspect not.
Sun 16 Dec, 2018 10:41 am
Yep, not steavensons falls. It's probably time for a clue as well - this is in the alps NP
