Sorry for my slow replies - I've unexpectedly found myself out of signal. This fall is (roughly) in the proximity of fainter falls. Not sure where whiterock falls is - the falls pictured are not named on my sv map

Waters Falls appear to be above Fainter Falls.
Whiterock Falls will be named after the Whiterock Creek - descending off the Bogong High Plains a little south of Timms Lookout.

Ahh yes, thanks eggs. A brief bit of googling (I don't have my map on me) confirms that they are indeed whiterock falls. Your turn lophophaps.

Thanks eggs, the line of the ranges was "wrong hand" to be from over the Terrible Hollow.
It was a tricky one.

Good so far, Bogong and very close to North but need the name of the landform I am on Lops.
There is a feature down the ridge which should give my location away.

It is Bogong Somewhere, but which one? It might be Dicky Cooper Bogong, but that's in NSW. It could be a Bogong Moth, but they move around a lot. Bogong Jack Saddle and Bogong Village are in Victoria, possibles. While Bogong Court Lalor is in Victoria it's probably not a starter. A more specific Bogong is needed.

West Peak from near Quartz Knob.

Near enough. I'm unsure that West Peak can be seen from there, but the slopes above the cliffs lead there. The summit is probably back a little way. Quartz Ridge is a terrific walk, and the track is now nice and clear. All yours.

Thank you Lops, it was a lucky guess based on the contours showing short, deep and steep in that area on my QGIS made map.
