Just a reminder of the game rules for new players - As Australia is a big place, when you post a picture please give the State the picture is from.

Oh yes it is (but eggs beat me to it while I was browsing all sorts of interesting images). This was returned as the first result by dragging-and-dropping commando's photo combined with the search terms "shrubland well outback":

"An old mine shaft in the town of Blinman near the ruggedly beautiful Flinders Ranges in the Australian outback."

My mind went to Blinman from the background.
I have seen the old mine somewhat briefly, but that feature was not ringing bells.
But the Alamy shot was very similar.

Staying in SA - the name of the peak - bonus for the track.

I found a similar looking view from a slightly different angle, labelled St. Mary's Peak from the outside trail to Tanderra Saddle.
Or I could be totally wrong (again).

If it was from the Tanderra trail the view would be much more side on.
I suspect your photo may have been mislabelled?
But the key item was St Mary's Peak - in this case from the Heysen Trail which runs parallel with the Pound Wall.

Quite possibly mislabelled eggs, not having been there I couldn't verify but it looked likely enough to take a punt.
Ironically my very first thought on seeing your photo was "Oh, it will be on the Heysen Trail for sure".

This may not look like a bushwalking photo but it is, sort of. This location was my finishing point for a day hike of a section of a long distance walking track.
The track crosses the railway line here at a pedestrian level crossing and continues north behind the train.
Waiting for my own train home I was surprised to find all these rail fans with cameras and telephoto lenses waiting eagerly for something.
So I got my own camera out just as locomotive 3642 came around the bend under full steam. NSW, just name the station:

Good enough eggs. I'm on Mt Edwards, which is one of the Moogerah Peaks.
Looking across the Fassifern Valley to what I think is the Teviot Range.

Water temp 27 degrees all year round
Algae growth because of the temperature, but would be more inviting if it was cleaned once a year

Same here JohnW, I stopped off there for a nice warm soak after a four day circuit of Long Plain/Cooleman Plain in 2016, brilliantly refreshing despite the algal growth.

I must admit I had some reservations at the time but assumed NPWS wouldn't promote it if any health risks, so jumped in. And what doesn't kill you makes you stronger .
