Donjon Mountain, Budawangs

Postby RasAlt3 » Tue 31 Jan, 2023 8:56 pm

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has any info on the route to climb Donjon Mountain in the Budawangs? Only thing I've been able to find on this forum is a supposedly difficult ascent route on the northern end? Keen to hear from anyone that might have more info than that. Plan would be to camp at Sunset Cave. And also wondering (if anyone has this level of detail) whether a handline and good scrambling skills would be enough, or if full blown trad gear would be more advisable.

Any advice greatly appreciated, cheers!

Sorry I have no idea... I've always been under the impression that there are no non-technical ascent routes but would be interested in any advice to the contrary.

Thanks. So it sounds like you would at least want enough gear to be able to abseil. Oh well, there goes my dream of a light pack...
