For those who have done this walk without using the accomodating facilities located in the towns found along the track, are there any areas sand free and not too far from the beach. My plan is to camp on the following locations:

1. Brooms Head
2. Minnie Waters
3. Wooli

I camped at Boorkoom. From memory, there is a toilet block. Sand free. 2 minutes from the beach. On the trail. Very crowded on weekends, so you won't feel lonely.

Thanks. Very happy to pitch the tent on the red dirt or the grassy area right behind. Lovely and with an other-worldly view! :)

About the Wooli Wooli river crossing, if you get a good low tide no need to swim at all:
