Bit of snow and just a bit (60kph!!!) of wind.
Had a nice time though, funny to think was walking in desert just the week before in the Flinders Ranges.

Yep the icy wind was certainly brisk!

Had to wear a bandana, ninja style, on my face to stop the cheeks stinging

Amazing changes over just a couple of days. Today vs. a few days ago. Agree with you on that wind this morning!ImageImage

I had my buff over my face too Wildwanderer, the wind was just blasting.

Great photos Scooters!
The forecast was saying 75 kph winds, so finding actual winds to be 60kph was good, got to look on the bright side.
I had felt like a dill for half my trip, lugging all my Winter gear across the country, but was so worth it for those two days of being able to get out in pretty wild weather. Made me keen to get back in Summer, had aimed to do it late last year, but just didn’t get around to it.

And the really good bit is when, late in the day, you find a nice spot and get your tent up and dive inside. Shelter from the wind would be nice, but kinda rare up there. A very reliable tent helps.

Mats blown up, down gear donned, stove extracted, billy on, and dinner! What more could you want?
