Illawarra Escarpment Track

Postby garrymc5 » Fri 28 May, 2021 12:26 pm

The project is on-the-move again. Connecting with The RNP Coastal Track, it starts at Otford, and ends at the Shoalhaven River or Nowra. Approximately 150 km. along the brilliant escarpment. From a Sydney-centric view, it complements the Great North Walk (GNW) and the recent great West Walk (stage One: Parramatta to Penrith, later extending to Katoomba).

You can support us, and comment, and join walks, and add pics at our FaceBook page: Friends of the IET at https://www.facebook.com/Friends-of-the ... &ref=notif

This will assist us, as we need NSW State Govt Cabinet support and funding.

Take a look. "Friend" and "Follow".

We also hope to soon have maps available.

I take it you already know about the Great South Walk. http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/stage01
I'm sure once you have worked out a route south of RNP, they would be interested.

This is great news- a proposal that has been going for 40 odd years.

I'll PM you with some details garrymc3.

There has been an informal track down Bald Hill in the past, not sure of its status now.
