Not sure how many folks on here live close to the east coast, but if you do, today is the day for storm watching. The wave bouy at the entrance to my locality (Batemans Bay) has recorded a peak wave of 13 metres and average wave height 5 to 7 m.

Here we are sitting at the wave bouy on a calmer day.

Any other storm pictures out there?

Spectacular but terrifying Sandy . Hopefully no one tries to go out in it.
I can get to the coast around Sydney in less than an hour but currently recovering from major surgery.
Unfortunately my activities will be limited for some time.
