Overnight ideas

Postby Tantell » Fri 07 Jul, 2023 8:42 pm

Hi all, I live on Sydney's northern beaches and looking for my next overnighter. I've looked at all trails etc and seeing if there are any other ideas.
Requirements: Max 2hr drive, water (have filters) as I don't want to lug 6l!, can have small campfire. Up to 10 or 15km one way.
Otherwise free as a bird!
I'm considering marramarra Creek, Brisbane water NP etc.
Any other ideas?
Cheers

I would suggest camping atop Mt Solitary. It's 2 hours drive, is a spectacular mountain, has an interesting approach route, a campfire is possible, and there's water on top if you know where to look (downstream in Chinamans Gully in an average year, upstream from Sing-a-jinga-well Creek in most years).
