Buller Huts Trail-January?

Here is the walk in question.
January is of course, summer. But is it doable?

Info on the tracks would be nice if you know your 2cents.
Water?
Any comments?
What are your thoughts Bushwalkers

It's not a good idea to rely on water tanks, specially where they are on well used 4WD tracks like Bluff track.
King Hut is right on the King River so water shouldn't be an issue but boil or filter it as an awful lot of people camp there (very easy 4WD access).
