OK, I'm sure some people will think this is lame but I just posted a YouTube video of an interesting creaking tree that I came across in the Mt Monda (VIC) area that made the ground vibrate when it creaked. I have given coordinates if anyone is interested in seeing this.

Wow, I've seen trees creak but never so much that the ground moved. 
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.
