If anyone is thinking of doing the walk from Cape Liptrap to Venus Bay both Morgan Creek and Ten Mile Creek had good water in them when I went through on Friday 9/3/18. Make sure you treat the water though.


The only real navigational issue is the thick coastal scrub between Cape Liptrap road and the coast, it's only around 800 metres but it's pretty tough and scratchy. The cliffs above The Arch aren't too bad (vegetation wise)if you stay close to the edge.

When I finally get a post online I'll put up a link, but it'll be awhile....Mr Fiasco has an old post online somewhere that is hilarious and worth tracking down if only for the masterclass in swearing

Cheers Lamont. This is one flies under the radar a bit but I was super impressed with the scenery, even better you probably won't be battling crowds.

I made my way back down to Cape Liptrap a couple of weeks ago. Parking at 5 Mile Track I hit the coast and walked down to Morgan Beach along the cliff tops - returning along the base of the cliffs at low tide. The section from Arch Rock to Morgan Beach has some beautiful scenery although the walking can be tough. At a bit over 26 kilometres it was a big day out too - well for an old bloke like me anyway

Thanks Neil, it's nice to be out and about again.

This is a magic length of our coastline, kind of makes me wonder why more people don't walk down there.
