Good to see some acceptance of past practice in an effort to reduce the risk of wild fire. It will likely work in some areas but not others and there needs to be considerable learning about how to transition suitable areas from their current "unmanaged" situation back to a state where traditional burning practices can assist with limiting wild fire damage.
