Stradbroke Chasm

Postby TheInvisibleLog » Sun 18 Apr, 2021 10:04 pm

Has anyone been in to Stradbroke Chasm in the past few years? I have a very sparse guide from a 1972 MUMC publication, but that is somewhat dated. Judging by the DELWP Mapshare it looks like the past fire through there was in 2003, so I imagine there is still thick regrowth.

yes
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

Haven't tried yet. But I gave got hold of good lidar data for the area and I am in the process of creating a base map with a model of vegetation thickness. I hope this will help show the least painful approach.
