Buying camping gas at the start of GOW

We're planning doing the GOW starting this Saturday. Is there any place to buy camping gas canisters in Apollo Bay? We're flying in to Melbourne on Friday, can't fly with gas in luggage, and all shops will be closed because Good Friday. Heading to Apollo Bay on the same day. Hoping to find the gas somewhere in Apollo Bay on Friday or Saturday morning. Anyone knows whether that's possible?

Google Home Hardware Apollo Bay and give them a call. They might have it.

Are you driving from Melbourne to Apollo bay on Friday. If so I could get some cylinders for you and you could pick them up in Lara on the way. This is only a couple of km off the Princes Hwy.

Depending on how you're getting there, I'm in Footscray and can give you one if needed. It's on the way from the airport if you're on public transport or driving.

Thanks for all the generous offers! We managed to get in touch with a local store in Apollo Bay and get the gas dropped off in our accommodation there. Still have to make sure it truly has arrived, but it's looking good!
