Grampians Circuit Walks

Postby PedroArvy » Mon 06 Jun, 2022 7:14 pm

Are there any circuit walks left in the Grampians? I am looking for a 1 or 2 night option that can be done without a car shuttle as I only have 1 car. The Grampian Peaks Trail looks good but seems one way to me.

Mt Difficult (1 night)- Roses Gap up to start of Loop - Long point East - Long Point West (camp?) - Mt Difficult (bush camp) - finish loop - back down to Roses Gap.
Grampians Peaks Wonderland section (2 nights) - Halls Gap to Bugiga via the Pinnacle - day 2 Bugiga to Burough Huts via Mt Rosea - day 3 long fire trail walk past the lake back to Halls.
Mt William - Durd Durd/Major Mitchell Plateau (2 nights) - Sheep hills car park to 1st Wannon via Mt William - day 2 1st Wannon to Jimmy creek via Durd Durd - day 3 Jimmy Creek to Sheep Hills along fire trails.
You can also approach Major Mitchel Plateau from Mafeking.

Baeng72's options are good.
i can also vouch for the loop from Mt Zero carpark (do the Mt Zero summit first) clockwise on the Mt Stapylton Loop out to Coppermine Campsite then back. See my earlier post: https://bushwalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=38798

Is the Grampians walk currently free? All other Vic walks/camps are free due to the booking system collapse
