This thread has been closed to further posts. The discussion was getting personal (with some posts removed), focusing on people and not the proposed legislation.

As the discussion has gone it seems clear now that the proposed regulations apply to mainly urban parks, typically with lawns, seats, car parking, etc. The regulations do not apply to wild areas such as the Alpine National Park. We should continue to be alert for proposed legislation that risks natural areas and the pursuit of bushwalking.

When discussing similar issues in the future, please focus on the specific issues and avoid personal attacks on members and politicians.

We can disagree in a way that helps build each other up.
