Small world, I'm heading that way myself this weekend, on a guided trip (my first ever non-solo big walk in over twenty years of walking  ). Might see you around!

Oh cool, a overnight?
We're taking it pretty slow so going to be at Rat-a-Tat Friday night and Stinson remote bush camp Saturday night, hiking out to Christmas creek Sunday morning.

No, a big one dayer on the annual O'Reillys OR-Christmas Creek walk. I've long wanted to do it but the dates never suited; anyway, this year is the year!
Have a lovely couple of nights, and enjoy the glow worm show at Rat-a-Tat. I've only been there during the day but it's meant to be spectacular.

I know, right  ? I have been training up and down Springbrook and a few other steep places (plus a couple of 25+km efforts) ever since they opened the parks again, so hopefully the answer is yes.

At point lookout 3pm. Hear a group go past rat-a-tat at 7-730 ish, while we were still warm in out bags. You must have left early + been booking it to make it past there that early. Either that, or another group started from Echo Point.

I'd say that was them. The group left Echo Point at about 0615.
I had to pull out early (around Mt Worendo) due to rapid onset bronchitis leaving me gasping for air  . I think smoke from the fire around Mt Barney contributed a fair bit.
There were two groups camped at Echo Point but one were still packing up and waving bits of toast around when I passed them on return at about 7, and I think the others were heading along Albert River.

Anyways, I'm now at home in COVID-test quarantine, rereading Secrets of the Scenic Rim and feeling thoroughly sorry for myself. Hope you had a great walk; the rest of the Stinson group had a really good time.

Oh, sorry to hear that! Saw the news on the way back about a few more that popped up. Hopefully you feel better soon and results come back negative.
I had a really good time, but my hiking buddy told me never to drag her on something so steep ever again :o

A bit more practice and I'll have her up Logans ridge on Barney though ;)

Lamington Binna Burra section...not fully closed anymore, just a partial closure of some tracks until the next update in November.

Binna Burra drive-in campsite seems to be available from the 14th September.

...and a there's a detour for the Hinterland Great Walk.

Green Mts section...Drive-in & Great Walkers camp area upgrade still ongoing.
