Conondale Great Walk access

Postby spartan_jack_17 » Sun 04 Sep, 2022 8:46 pm

I'm planning on doing the Conondale great walk sometime in the next couple of months. I've found older posts saying it was possible to park a 2wd car before the first creek crossing and walk a short distance to the start of the walk, and I was wondering if anyone's been there recently to see if that's still possible. I've heard it's possible to get a 2wd car over the creeks if they're low, but I drive a small car and with the amount of rain we've had I doubt they'll be low enough.

For anyone else searching this topic, I just did the walk and you can definitely still park there. It does seem like it's pretty popular with people who like to drive way too fast on dirt roads in 4wds, my car was completely coated in dust when I got back but otherwise fine.
