How's this as an example of teamwork in the face of adversity!!??
http://twitpic.com/3pa8xzThere's been some incredible scenes shown in the media with the QLD floods, but I think this one (a frog catching a ride on the back of a snake in the QLD flood waters!) is a ripper!
Something to smile about in a pretty awful time.

I love that pic! It goes to show when faced with adversary there is no foe! May we all learn from the wisdom of nature...

Hi all,
Have spent the last 6 or so days cleaning up the basement carpark of our appartment block at Sherwood, so we can restore power and other services before we can move back in. Today a large SES crew from Devonport and Launceston turned up to disinfect the basement, as raw sewage and flood mud got everywhere. This particular Tassie SES crew has been in Queensland since last Wednesday (Jan 12) and have been going hard cleaning since the waters have receeded. They said they will be relieved this coming Friday. So if anyone on this forum is part of that crew (or knows someone from that crew), your help was much appreciated and took some of the pressure of us

Sounds like charming work. Really good of them to come all that way. I had an interesting week. Nearly got stranded in my suburb (Collingwood Park) with all the bogans, with no power, if it wasn't for a 4WD track through the bush. So we stayed with my GF's parents for the rest of the week after the escape. My dad's place at Karalee went under to the roof of the second story. So I was out there as soon as the water went down enough to get through. No sewage issues there though. Worst part was probably the mud brick walls. Mud Brick Walls + Flood = A giant pile of mud and barbed wire reinforcing wire in the living room.
It keeps being said on the news etc but it really was amazing the people that showed up in this little backwater suburb to help out that we'd never met before. A family came from the gold coast, another couple from just up the street + many others.

Haha could be, or the frog is either extremely lazy, has just forgotten how to swim or has a death wish
