trip plan critique/suggestions wanted-D'Aguilar NP

Sun 08 Jan, 2012 5:52 pm

Hi,
I've got a few days free this week, and am keen to go for a longer hike (3 or 4 days) . Unfortunately I'm without transport.
I notice that the 385 bus goes out from Brisbane CBD to The Gap "Walkabout Creek" D'Aguilar NP centre, and a little pondering over the topo map show's it's possible to walk from the bus stop into the NP and maybe do a first overnight at Scrubs Road walk in camp http://goo.gl/uymIa .
Can anyone give a thumbs up or down to this prototype itinerary? Have you done overnight walks around here? Is it worthwhile? Or would anyone be able to suggest a "no transport" 3 or 4 day plan...
Basically I'm all packed up and ready to go... somewhere, so grateful for any suggestions :D
Cheers,
Chas

northbrook gorge or love creek are good walks - anything off track can be pretty scungy
