Great Ocean Walk Transport

Postby Jpleaner » Sun 03 Dec, 2023 3:13 pm

Hi everyone

I am looking for some advice on arranging transport for a group of 9 people (scouts) for a hike on the Great Ocean Walk. Earlier this year we hiked the first three days and now are looking to do the next 3 days.

We are driving two vehicles and starting at Cape Otway Lighthouse. Cars will be left at the lighthouse. We will finish at Ryan's Den Track where it meets the Great Ocean Road.

I am struggling to find any form of transport from Ryan's Den Track back to Cape Otway Lighthouse.

Out hike days is over the Australia Day long weekend.

Any advice on this would be appreciated.

You could also do a car shuttle but it looks like the drive is an hour each way so that will add two hours to the start (and finish) of your hike.

Maybe have your fastest walkers do the car shuttle and they can catch up to the rest?
