Looking for suggestions on how to do the Wilderness Coast

Postby Mortar Art » Thu 03 Oct, 2024 9:53 pm

Long ago, I did a short bit of the Wilderness Coast Walk starting in Mallacoota, and I've wanted to go back and do the whole thing at some stage. There's a V-Line service to Mallacoota, but nothing of that sort to Bemm River, and it's a pretty small community there from the looks of it (I've never been) so I'm wondering if it might not be wise to rely on hitching out to a main road.

There's also a track from Bemm River to Cape Conran ... so I've thought about trying to do that as well, but I'm still not sure how I'll go hitching from there.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this as a through hike without someone to pick me up or something like that?
