"DO YOU KNOW TASMANIA" Wilderness show in Adelaide

Postby tas-man » Thu 19 Nov, 2009 8:22 pm

I would like to let all Adelaide forum members know that I have been able to secure a venue in Adelaide while there next week, to put on a presentation of our current 44th "DO YOU KNOW TASMANIA" multimedia show. It will be held at 8.00pm on Thursday 26th November at the Salvation Army Hall, Cnr. Bridge & Maxwell Roads, Ingle Farm. Admission will be Adults $15.00 and Children/Concession $10.00. If anyone would like a better quality PDF version for printing an A4 poster, further info for any local publicity options etc, please email me at <[email protected]> and I will forward it to you. Please feel free to pass this poster and info on to any other forums, clubs, interested groups in the Adelaide region. Perhaps the show could facilitate a BWT Forum members "meetup" . I will have a limited number of our historic movie DVD's available at the show, details here http://www.launcestonwalkingclub.org.au/shop.html

If you can arrange for a cool change next week this Tasmanian will greatly appreciate it. 8)
(I'll bring the photos of lots of Tassie water and snow  )

Great news - but I will be away.
Will send a proxy.
Weather is forecast at 31C. Good as a cool change in these parts. (Was 43C yesterday)

Thanks eggs, had a chat to "son of eggs" your proxy at the show, and another forum member whose name I can't recall at the moment  . With the short notice, only a small audience enjoyed the show, but certainly covered costs and was worthwhile. While in Adelaide, have spoken to local outdoor equip shops about sponsoring a show next November, so I trust that those from local clubs and WalkingSA who did see the show will spread the word for future shows.

I was one of the small number of people who turned up and it was a really enjoyable and worthwhile evening. It was good to meet Tas-man and I still have to view the several hours of film on the two CDs thet I purchased, with some friends hopefully and that is something I look forward to.
