Northern Flinders Ranges, 21-29 August. Interested?

We drive (my car) 630 km to Arkaroola and do an interesting 3.5 day circuit walk NW of the village to Yudnamutana water tank and climb three significant hills. Then it’s a short drive back to Italowie Gap for a 2.5 day circuit around and over Hawker Hill Range and its extraordinary Pound. Then back to Angepena and up the Yankaninna Road to Arcoona. We’ll camp atop the SW spur of the Gammon’s Blue Range and climb Mt Rowe and Constitution Hill. We’ll hopefully have time to stop at a couple of brilliant sites on the drive back to Copley before heading back to Adelaide. One purpose of two of the walks is to check a small number of springs and waterholes. Seven walking days and none with more than three days of food so it’s all with comparatively light packs. If interested, please get in touch and I can provide more information. cheers, Mike
