Holwell Gorge creek crossings

Postby billshep2 » Wed 22 Jul, 2020 5:31 pm

Checked out the Holwell Gorge walk today. Cut some small limbs, all well.
Some good people have made great stepping stones at the creek crossings below the nasty rope section. This is by far the best option here.
Parks have started work at the Lower Holwell Falls, hopefully repairing the viewing deck lost to flood damage.

I have checked the whole track over 2 days and cleared more logs and overhanging scrub.
The walk is in good order and makes a good trip for the school holidays.A few sections are wet just now.
Avoid the landslip section by a pleasant detour on the other side of the creek.
Thanks to Max for his great help on day 2.
Parks have not done anything at the Lower Falls viewing platform, wrecked by the 2016 flood, as yet.
