The Tarkine - The new kid on the block

I''ve been walking parts of the Tas Northwest. Im wondering how many other people out there have been exploring the Tarkine region for walks? The Arthur-Pieman Conservation Area is shutting a number of 4Wd tracks, and there are no tracks from the Western Explorer.... South Arthur loop has many good short walks but what about hikes in the North west???? Has anyone else out there been exploring this incredible, remote and hard to access area?

Yes, on an organised trip or 3 though. The coast from Pieman to Interview River, Sundown Pt, Sara Anne Rocks and Sandy Cape, Keith River Rd to further up the Arthur Rv (can't recall the exact route as it was a bit vague in places but included Tarkine Falls and an area known as Heaven). All bar the last were base camp type trips with no walking with packs on the Sundown Pt/Sandy Cape trip at all. There was much walking with cameras though..... The last was much walking with packs and cameras. All those areas are well worth the bit of effort to get there, be it by dinghy down the Pieman, 4wd down the coast or beautiful but lomg wanders through the forest.
