Pine Mountain - Feb 2016

With some fine weather forecast for last weekend I decided to head up to Pine Mountain and do a walk that I'd been contemplating for many years, Pine Mountain in the Burrowa-Pine Mountain National Park. With the walk such a long drive from my home in the south of Melbourne I developed a bit of a cunning plan, I decided that I'd spend the night bivvied on the summit, therefore spreading the trip over 2 days. Apart from having to lug 5 litres of water up to the summit the plan was a good one, the views as the sun came up over the Main Range and down to the Murray River made all the sweat and toil worth while. If your interested in checking out some more photos here's a link to the post http://goinferalonedayatatime.blogspot. ... ntain.html

Hi Neil,

Yeah I normally do have a recovery kit in the back of the ute, but seeing that I'd be leaving the ute over night in the car park I took it out, Murphy's Law I suppose.

Cheers Kevin
