1. Identify Landslide Gully. As you walk on Federal Pass from Scenic World, after passing the Landslide, this gully will be visible.
2. Scramble up the Gully (doesn't matter exactly where; try scrambling from the highest point of the Federal Pass track).
3. Climb a wet + sloped 2m boulder (3a), followed by some wet ledges on the R of the creek (3b). Cross the creek to locate the climb on the L (3c). Cross the creek again back to the R to climb up - now with a fixed rope (3d) - to an open slope that connects to the Amphitheatre.
4. Turn R (East) and stay away from the cliff line. If you hit an exposed shale ledge you are too high. Go down one level instead.
5. Locate the 8m chimney (with a fixed rope) next to the Tombstone Rock. Either climb this (Blue Route) or continue forward to cross the waterfall to exit via a small gully after passing an Open Ledge (Orange Route).

Look forward to seeing some capable teams to tackle this challenging off-track walk in future! I will watch this space :)

You should do these topos for canyons!
Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.
