I had just finished doing the gas transfer to the smaller containers. I put the empty large can into the deep freezer for an hour or so prior to using the church-key to puncture before putting the now safe empty into the recycle bin. Punched the first hole and turned it over to punch a second on the opposite side and several drops of butane mix at -24C fell onto my open palm. I can tell you it stings and I have a couple of tiny bleached white spots on my palm where the surface skin froze, a bit like touching red hot steel a freeze cauterization [ which I am familiar with but liquid nitrogen feels even colder] so be careful out there and I think one hole is enough
