Older readers will understand that it's possible to take a trip up to Abergavenny, hoping the weather is fine. Bushwalkers get high on mountains.

Can you please confirm that the comment "Again, we started a fire, cracked open the wine, cheeses and cigars for a relaxing end to the day." in the story about the Ettrema Wilderness doesn't mean they actually gathered fallen timber and lit an actual fire in a wilderness area.

I sub-edit the magazine. During production a number of details are checked by several people. Is this track open? Is the area open? Should BWA publish information about sensitive areas? Can the map be improved? These sort of things were checked during production, and I checked again yesterday. NPWS were asked. Fires were permitted on the walk, and fires lit by the party were well away from flammable material. Fuel was only fallen timber.
