Forum outages this week - between 11 & 18/03/21

Postby wildwalks » Thu 11 Mar, 2021 7:43 pm

Hi All
The time has come to shuffle servers around.

I am moving the forum and a few other parts of bushwalk.com to live behind a new load balancer and CDN - this will make the website load a bit faster and better help defend the site from hackers being annoying.
So over the next week, I will be upgrading software and moving things around. All going to plan you will not notice - if you notice - rest assured I am pulling out my hair fixing it :)
I am expecting a series of short outages of about 5 minutes or so.

All the links etc on the forum will stay the same.
We will be getting a new landing page at bushwalk.com/ (currently it just redirects you to bushwalk.com/forum).

Fingers crossed :)

Happy Walking

Matt :)

Thanks Mate :)
Just making copies of the servers now to test the upgrade scripts - will see if they are smiling soon ;)
