Odd looking tree

Postby walkingwalker » Sun 18 Dec, 2022 11:17 am

I stumbled upon this on a recent walk (pictured). Can't say I know too much about trees, but this doesn't exactly look natural. Ring barking perhaps?

There is a decent amount of human history in the immediate area, including European inhabitance during the great depression and Aboriginal inhabitance prior.

Anybody know if this is of any significance?
