A tiny blower assisted wood stove can make an efficient means of providing abundant cooking on extended backpacking trips even if the fuel sticks are damp or wet. Solar power for running the stove and or charging batteries would make it even more practical.

I tested a 150g flexible backpacking solar panel and it can happily run the blower stove directly, even with modest cloud cover.

My walking style usually entails early morning starts and latish finishes, so charging the battery to run the stove will be most practical, unless I have the luxury of a hot drink for lunch. In this regard, 1 hour of solar charging can provide 1.7 hours of full power cooking time or much more if some simple simmering tricks are used.
