I have a slightly used pair of hiking boot from Meindl for sale that i purchased from meindl.co.nz March 2009. Only worn for about 15 days.

Overland Track 6 days
Milford Track 5days
Barns Bluff 2days
Arm River track 2days

The Island is the Meindl’s classic and has been manufactured for over 20 years winning endless amounts of awards. They are comfortable, stable, waterproof boot and I never had a problem with hotspots or blisters. I think this is foot and sock dependant however.

The vibram sole has massive lugs/tread and is by far the most sticky sole of all my shoes/boots. I generally think they are 1/2 size too small for me. Sometimes my toes would hit the end of the boot. So if your foot size is 25-25.5cm I think they might be really good fit. Or if you are genuine EU 41.5 or 42 then also great fit. All have some Meindl Sportwax left.
