Carbon felt windscreen

I've been trying to figure out a better windscreen now that I have a smaller lighter pot. My foil one used to sit inside my pot, around the gas canister. This looks ideal, especially as it's multifunctional:

I'm hoping to get hold of one quickly. Does anybody know where I could buy some carbon felt, even if not this size (but not huge), in Australia?
Edit: Simon's got it at Tiergear. My original googling didn't find him.

These do look sweet. I will have to add it to my Tier Gear wish list.

Carbon windscreens are great, I'm still using mine.

I have just purchased a larger sheet of carbon felt so that I can offer these in different sizes.

Could be me but I would imagine a wind screen is most useful in the wind and can't see how you would secure carbon felt to the ground so that it does not fly away.
I can see that you could shove a couple of thin pegs to keep it there but how often will you be able to do that before it rips ?

I think it has the advantage of being a bit more versatile but as Franco points out it may not be as good in heavy winds but then again some people just use foil. I have yet to test in in strong winds but I would be surprised if it ripped with a few pegs in it, especially if you reused the same holes and did not place them too close to the edge. It is reasonably strong material. If the winds were really heavy I would be seeking other ways of blocking the wind anyway.

I've only just started using it, but so far:

I'm usually cooking in my spacious vestibule open on the lee side with my pack providing more shelter. The carbon felt stopped little gusts affecting the stove while being in no danger of flying away. If I use it in the open I'd aim for a similarly protected set up.

I wanted to change from a metal windshield now that I have too small a pot to carry that in. Don't want metal edges in my pack. Might be a bit paranoid there.

From first use, it looks like I'll be able to leave even my small silicon pot grabbers at home and use the carbon felt instead.

It triples as a pot cosy, doing a better job on my fuel saving 'bring it to the boil and let it sit' approach to rehydrating my meals.

It may be good enough to protect my stove in the pot in my pack so I can leave the stove container at home too.

Working on multi-use. :-)

I agree with you Tortoise. In fact I am thinking about getting some more and making some dedicated cosies for my pots.
