The BRS3000t just works so well though!

The BRS3000t is great if you are only going to boil water (and for a lot of walks that is all I do); if you are cooking food and with a Ti pot at least, it concentrates the heat too much and overcooks (ok burns) the food at the centre of the pot, I go back to my FireMaple 116T if I need to simmer cook (e.g., with my own dehydrated meals, rather than cooked in the bag freeze dried), I am guessing by the look of it the Kovea it would be better when simmering is required than the BRS3000t.

Bit of a tangent, but I use an MSR Microrocket and a Ti pot. Similar issue - heat concentrated in the centre of the pot, can burn. I use my own dehydrated meals, but do the same as I would for freeze dried - bring water to boil and sit for 10 mins. Usually with carbon felt pot cosy that doubles as a windshield. I tried it after my first experience of freeze-dried meals. Add boiling water, sit for 10 minutes, eat partially rehydrated vegies and 'beef' cuboid doovers (1% beef + 99% floor scrapings). Yep, it works just as well if not better with my own meals (where 'beef' = 96%+ beef).

I have the Ti version of that Kovea stove (heavier than this one), the head looks the same.
It does give a reasonably diffused flame.
The tricky bit is to make sure those arms are all fully folded out when you put a pot on it.
(I have a sort of auto re-fold feature on mine. Could be me...)

The burner head is the same as the revered Kovea Spider. Great stoves.

I'd love a titanium model of the Kovea Spider.

Having a local supply chain includes some legal responsibility for the product. Each to their own, in the case of stoves I consider this important.

If the stove is sold in Australia, it has legally been approved for use in Australia. Regardless of whether you buy it here or overseas.
