Yeah yeah - I know chairs and stools just don't fit the ethos of Ultralight hiking BUT I've just purchased an UL ~260gm collapsible hiking stool ($30) and wondered if others have also tried one?
Although its made (claimed) from aviation grade aluminium - I'm dubious as to it's durability. I wish it was about 5cm higher - it's suitable for sitting but not relaxing/reclining.
I have a quality Helinox ChairZero but the packed down size/weight is still 'biggish' and I would probably not take it again - except on 1 or 2 night hike.

When I fist saw this I thought it was about your diet Stew. 
But I digress...Give me a piece of 10mm CCF chopped to my arrse size-at 20 gms. Much more comfy than any stool, back panel of my ruckie as well.
However, I do know someone that is UL (BW under 4kgs-with the chair) that used one. Liked it at first but it did fall to bits. From AE. Tied it to the outside of his ruckie with 2mm bungy. Not in Oz-no trees/bush.

Have to admit that when I first saw the topic title, I thought it might get me over my main problem with carrying a poo tube - the loss of ongoing weight reduction during a walk.

I used to scoff at the idea of a hike chair or stool until a mate - who's definitely a gram-weenie - started carrying one. Why? "Because sitting in one at the end of the day is the difference between being physically able to do big long trips, and not being able to do big long trips." He's got 25 years on me but it was a bit of a revelation in terms of looking after your body.
Not much point carrying one when you're walking long days and jumping straight into the tent afterwards, but for more relaxed trips with lots of campside socialising I've found the Chair Zero good to have.
